The US is becoming a friendlier place for those who appreciate marijuana and the products that this plant produces. In 2018, CBD was finally legalized at the Federal level, thanks to the Farm Act.

Most states in the US have legalized medical marijuana. You must have a license in order to purchase, carry, and use marijuana for medical use.
On the flip side is recreational use. Only a few states have fully legalized recreational marijuana use. This is defined as anyone over the age of 18 having the ability to walk in and buy marijuana at any time.
While Florida has legalized medical marijuana use, 2022 marijuana laws here still do not allow for recreational use.
Medical Marijuana Regualtions
It’s legal to carry medical marijuana in public. However, you cannot use it in public. However, if your employer permits it, you may use it at your workplace.
You can’t use medical marijuana while driving or operating other types of vehicles or machinery, such as a boat.
Medical marijuana is not allowed to cross state boundaries, even if the other state allows medical marijuana.
While you cannot be punished for legally carrying medical marijuana, you are required to show your medical marijuana card to law enforcement if they ask.
Changes to Marijuana Laws in Florida
Floridians, and countless people wanting to move to Florida, are wondering when the recreational ban on purchasing, possessing, using, and growing marijuana will change.
Currently, possession of marijuana in Florida is a serious offense. Any amount under 20 grams is a first-degree misdemeanor that can get you jail time and fines. It’s much more serious than the stay at home law in 2020, which was very hard for officers to actually enforce.

Florida is an amazing state. With constant sunshine and year-round warm weather, it’s the perfect place to take a vacation or to live full time.
The only issue is that restrictive marijuana laws in Florida keep many people out. It’s likely that these rules will change in the future, but as of today, marijuana laws in Florida ban the use of recreational cannabis.
