Life has gotten more and more autonomous. While you may not see many self-driving cars delivering your pizza, that’s about to change very soon.
Think of the apps you interact with daily on your smartphone. For example, delivery apps have grown increasingly in their popularity in recent years. From the customers’ point of view, the ease of use and convenience of these businesses cannot be beaten.
Amazon Prime Two-Day delivery has become such a staple in so many households. So how would you like to get your deliveries in as little as 15 minutes?
What about drone delivery? How would you like to get your packages, takeout, and groceries by drone?
Grab the controller and navigate below to read more on drone technology. Then, hurry before these drones take off!
Groceries by Drone
Kroger and Drone Express are partnering up to rival Walmart. From a test store in Centerville, Ohio, drone delivery is becoming a thing. Items that weigh up to 5 pounds, including baby products, picnic supplies, and OTC medication, are set for delivery.
Drones are operated by drone pilots under FAA approval. Have you ever thought of becoming a drone pilot yourself?
The possibilities of autonomous drones are unlimited in potential. As a culture and society, everything happens instantaneously with the click of a button. Soon enough, everything you need will be made available almost instantly.
Drone Technology
Drone technology opens up the possibilities of where deliveries can be made—from the beach to park benches. Your smartphone will function as a tracking device for drone delivery via GPS.
A2Z Drone Deliver and DroneUp have collaborated recently as well. Coca-Cola with Coffee was amongst the first deliveries via drone to Coffee County, GA. A2Z takes advantage of the Rapid Delivery System (RDS1).
DroneUp takes advantage of the RDS1 technology with a tether that will drop the packages. The amount of flying time, “time-on-station,” will be only 30 seconds upon delivery!
The drone technology is safe as well, as the drones will hover far from people and their homes. Residential areas with trees and utility wires will not be obstacles for the drone pilots as they deliver payloads to their customers.
Stay Fly
Samsung and Manna are teaming up to handle smaller electronics via drone delivery. Customers can expect to receive their products “within 3 minutes”. Drone delivery by the two is available in County Galway, Ireland.
The drone technology Manna uses is “custom-developed aerospace drones.” These drones are fast, traveling upwards of 37 mph. They have high hopes to deliver the service nationwide.
Drone Delivery Is Looking Up
As you can see, drone delivery is looking up. This promising drone technology can further enhance our lifestyles.
As this technology hits the mainstream, you can expect to see more and more of it come into your everyday life.
